10-Digit Dialing for BC & Alberta Coming June 2008!
After September 8-12, 2008, you won't be able to make 7-digit local calls, but will have to dial the area code in front of the 7-digit phone number. To help customers prepare, the industry is phasing in a "permissive dialing period" from June 23-28 (note: will not apply to BC Lower Mainland customers as they are already dialing 10-digits) .
